Call for Abstracts
Instructions for Presenters
If you or your coworkers wish to be considered for a presentation, then you must submit an abstract. Abstracts are due 5:00 p.m. PST on Monday, December 14, 2009.
Abstract Specifications
- Name the file by last name of the presenting author.
- Abstract title and body combined should not exceed 300 words. Use one inch margins (~2.5 cm) and a 12 point Arial typeface, left justified. Avoid individualized formatting and special typefaces. Use italics (NOT underlines) for taxonomic terms.
- Begin with abstract title in bold and ALL CAPITAL Letters.
- Beneath the title, list authors (presenting author in bold and underlined).
- Next, indicate author affiliations in italics.
- The body of the abstract should also be in 12 point Arial.

Your electronic file must be submitted in Microsoft Word (.doc) (preferable) or Adobe Portable Document Format (.pdf) with fonts embedded and NO document security. The filename must have the appropriate extension (.doc or .pdf) and must NOT exceed 5MB. We apologize for any inconvenience, but .docx files can NOT be accepted, so please be sure to post a Microsoft Word file in the .doc format.
Abstract Submission
1.) Enter your contact information as you would like it to appear in the abstracts program.
Acknowledgement of Receipt and Review
Receipt of abstract files will be acknowledged via email. All abstracts will be reviewed by the Program Committee. Corresponding authors will be notified if selected for platform or poster session and time assignments before March 1, 2010.
We are planning two poster sessions. Selected abstracts will also be chosen for platform presentations.
Platform Sessions
Abstracts accepted for platform presentations will be assigned to sessions that will be held Wednesday through Saturday (inclusive). Speakers will each be allotted 15 minutes, including discussion. Speakers must bring their own laptop computers (see step 4 above for audio/visual details). If you require special audio/visual equipment, please be sure to list that equipment in step 4 above.
Presentation of Paper at the Meeting
You are responsible for presenting your paper. If unforeseen circumstances prevent your attendance, you must notify the and (to release your room). Also, please arrange for a colleague to present your paper.
